Hey world! I'm still here. Albeit, I've not been on here much! I've gotten too much into pinterest to keep up with my site! (TeeHee). I wanted to share with you a photo of what I've just completed. Tell me what do you think? I've pulled the color from the window bench that I've finished. Perhaps I should show a picture of that? And the red pillow is one of four that I have covered. Tonight my daughter is going to stage the room and we will be taking some photos to take down to the family reunion and show everyone the finished space. I will post more pictures soon.

In the Meantime, here is one of the little doll I've been working on. So much to do, so little time! Must increase my output! Getting ready for the Fall Craft Festival, but, at this rate, not gonna make it!

Here is a view of the Living Room looking towards the kitchen--you can see the bar top up and the pantry without the door. This was a couple of weeks ago. We have since put the pantry door up and installed some of the baseboards around the room. We are still working hard to get things done.

In the meantime---

Here is the rug I'm working on for the kitchen floor in front of my sink. It has all the colors I wanted to include in my decorating! What do you think?

You know the spring came and went and all that I've been working on has come and gone! I haven't posted in so long, I'm sure you all have forgotten all about me!

I wanted to share with you that my kitchen is almost complete! Here is a picture of my two grandsons playing on the new floor in the living room which is adjacent to the kitchen... This photo is still awaiting the baseboards of course.

Here's what my Kitchen looks like today.... SLOWLY BUT SURELY! Ha ha!

January is over and this month has been crazy! We've had some pretty nasty winter here! It's been called everything from Blizzard of Oz to Snowmagedden! It was pretty crazy. I'm not going to post pics of it however! I am so ready for the snow to be gone, I could spit! LOL!

There is still no kitchen in my house, but, it is understandable you see... Because we were waiting on this...

She's so precious! But, her daddy is my carpenter and so, we're waiting until they've all settled in and there's more spare time to finish the job! So, until then, No Kitchen!

I really have sewn some since I last posted, but, do I have pictures? NO! I really need to get a good camera for myself, because if I wait for my daughter to take the pictures, they don't get done.

So, with that in mind! Hurry up spring! At least if it is spring, I can have hope!

Remodeling of Kitchen underway----What a mess! I will show after pics, but, I'm afraid that is going to be quite some time from now!

This is my sewing machine mess! I really really have been busy, honest! Amidst the remodeling going on and the Craft Fairs and sending dauther #3 off to Russia for a mission, I'm not sure if I'm coming or going!

This is a new little dog I've created. he's about 7 or 8 inches total length including ears and legs. I thought he was kinda cute....??

Giraffe a baff went to a baby shower in Columbia, MO. Hope they liked him.

This little monkey also went to the same baby shower.... He's hanging around over there now. I think the swing got to him!

This is only the beginnings of the sewing I was doing for the Fall Craft Fair at Church on the 30th of October.

I was really busy the whole month of September and October! Not really sure where the time went but, I can attest to being super busy! How people find time to post and do all that they do, I'm not sure.

Hope this Monday finds everyone in your world doing a-okay.

The onesie and the caterpillar were my contributions to the party. I made many of the caterpillars to give out as party favors for the children. The hats were created by my artist daughters, Melanie & Grace, and they hand made each one of the hats that were worn. Then the cake, is cupcakes and one large cake for the head of the caterpillar with fondant feet. He turned out really cute. The girls made him also. The whole theme turned out super cute! We all had a great time.

Everett turned one! He's such a big boy now. Grace (his mommy) and auntie Mel created "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" theme for his birthday. Both did an amazing job! Here are some of the pics to enjoy from that day. And I will make another post with the pics of things I made as well as the hats that Mel and Grace painted & put together. So cute!

Wow, it's a great new day here! Fridays are a blast! I get to be creative at work and do Church bulletins and just spend time thinking about my next sewing project! I have done some baby onesies and still need to post those pictures. I also need to post the caterpillar Amigukids I'm making for my grandbaby Everett's first birthday! That's next week! I'll get those pics up shortly! I don't know what they did over at the Big List of sewing blogs! But, I am happy I have a bunch of stars now! I never thought I'd make it that far! Thanks so much! These are items I've been working on lately. Also completed two onesies appliqued with ties. So Cute! Will try to post pictures soon. Life took on some new challanges recently with some major dental work I had done. I'm adjusting and trying to figure out how I like the work. :) My dog had surgery on his back leg the same time, so we're both healing about the same. We have a ways to go in that regard. My sister lost her father-in-law 2 1/2 months after we lost our father and so, my daughter and I will be making that trip back home to go to the funeral this Saturday. I don't think we'll get a reprieve for the weather, however. So, I'm sure it will be hot, hot, hot!

I've been following "Knock-off-wood" on Facebook and so jealous of the work she creates! I want to try a project, but, not sure what I want to try and not sure if I have the right tools to make it happen! But, I can dream, can't I?

The other changes in my household, are the fact that we've taken up walking and changing our lifestyle from sedentary to moderately active. We are moving and that's always a good thing. Wanted to remember my dad's dedication to walking that he's done faithfully for the past 15-20 years and so, am committing myself to walking as much as possible for him. We did 3 miles last night in the heat! Yikes! But, if we keep going, who knows, maybe we'll be as lean and strong as he was in his later years. I'm not getting any younger and I need to keep myself healthy!

And I need to lose weight too!

Spent the Weekend in the Lou

St. Lou that is. We dealt with some family things at the Family reunion at our home place. I think we'll keep the property there in the family, I hope. Looks like that could be the way it goes. After we visited with family and friends, my family spent a relaxing evening in St. Clair and then the next morning, we drove into the city. We went up in the Arch! It had been many many years since I'd been up there. My grown daughter commented that it was the first time she'd been since she was a little girl, and she didn't remember it. So, if that puts any kind of bug in your ear, it should be this: "If you remember it, it doesn't necessarily mean they will remember it." That's in reference to the momentous things you do with your kids when they are little. Do things when they are bigger kids, so they will remember them! We did so many things, had traveled from one side of the country to the other over the years, and I wonder how much of it they remember? Well, we'll have to discuss that sometime!

Tuesday Ramblings

Coming off a 3-day weekend is hard! You just get into the relaxing mode, only to find that you have to face the reality of the week you're already in! Grr! Oh well! Life's too short to be frustrated, right?

Not too many disasters today only a freezer that shorted out over the weekend sometime. Went downstairs to the Fellowship Hall and had to drag out all the contents including 2 turkeys, boxes of hamburgers, and hotdogs, and a variety of other food stuff that had to be pitched because we didn't want to take a chance on anything spoiling! A couple of us got it all taken care of though. No more Freezer, however!

We've been working on our weight now since the middle of March, I'd guess. I don't know, because I've been dragging my feet, with the recent loss I've endured. I can't begin to put my finger on it, just haven't felt like dealing with things. But, I finally got on board towards the end of March and slowly making my way down the scales. I believe since the winter, I've lost almost 16 lbs. It's not much from my viewpoint, since I believe I have alot to go, but, it is a drop in the bucket and I'm not going to quit. Even though there are days I'd rather not count the food I'm eating, or put on my walking shoes and go walking. I will still get out there if my family will keep after me! And so far, all the family at home is working on it. We're losing weight and walking; I'd say that's quite an accomplishment for us!

Soon, I hope to show some befores and afters! YIKES! For those of you who know what I'm talking about! Laugh Out Loud!

I have a couple of sewing projects on the horizon. Two infant onesies (memasews) with ties appliqued to the front and two Krinklekids animals for another friend! Yeah God! He has provided the customers for me! I pray He continues to lead them to my door!

Just a warm sunny day! Well, we've had a few of them now. After such a rainy spring, it's a nice change! We've been walking! Yes! It's been a long time, since I kept that up and it's time! I'm not getting any younger you know!

So, we've been walking on trails. It's hiking and I like it alot. We love to explore and look at the insects and the butterflies, etc. Listening to the birds is quite soothing too. All in all it's good.

Forgotten!

I have forgotten what it was like to have babies in the house overnight! You wouldn't think that was true, except last night, was another eye-opening experience! When I was young, I had 4 children in the house under 5! It was not easy, but, I had the patience of Job I think back then! We had grandbabies: Hudson & Everett overnight and were awakened with crying about 11ish from Everett, who is 9 months old! He only cried for almost 30 minutes but it seemed like a long long time!

Everyone is fine from it, just hadn't quite remembered the crying part in the night!

Looking forward to the next few days with the little guys! Should be fun!

I'm going to get back to the living. I've only been asleep for a while. Let me mourn for the loss I have suffered. It isn't asking too much to allow me some time. I will come back and probably pick up the pieces of what is left. I only needed some time. This was a hard one. I have to admit. Took me a while to get used to the idea of him not being there anymore. Still have yet to return and feel the emptiness. I'm going to get that opportunity next weekend.

The stuff I've been working on and keeping myself busy is not for sale. It is a whole host of Krinklekids(my creation), to give away to children 0-12 months in our church nursery for baby day. I've also crocheted 5 sets of 10 fish (all the colors of the rainbow), to go to children 2-3. Now, I've got to create 10 patchwork stuffed balls for the 1-2 year olds can play with. That should be awesome fun for them, don't you think? While I work on this stuff, I forget.

Someone wants to know about my etsy shop. I've not figured it all out yet. I'm a little slow. Bear with me. It is finished

Those are the words that were spoken of the cross. They are the words I can speak now of my dad's passing. It is finished. It was as if we were on "holy ground" by his bedside as he went to be with the Lord. My heart is empty for him. I wish he didn't have to go, but, it was his time. I will surely miss him, but, I would not want him to come back to this life. He is with our mom and I know he is happy now. His service was beautiful and with the things of his, that is how we will remember him. In the next few weeks, we'll have things to deal with, but, nothing that will be harder than what God would ask of us. He is good all the time, and all the time God is good!

No sewing this week, maybe not even next week.

Soon, I'll be making alterations for my sister's step child for a flower girl dress. It looks like it might be a little difficult, but, hopefully I can tackle it. Will post some pics when I begin in April on that.

And hope to get some items for real in my etsy shop. However, I have to think about changing that name and making my own account.

I'm still here, waiting, waiting.... I know it's a hard time for all my family. There are after all 11 kids in my family. My mom and dad were busy! I've missed my mom, most of my adult life, well, all of my adult life, and there were 8 kids under me, so imagine how that felt for all of us to lose our mom so young! Now, having had my dad for alot of my adult life, I'm really going to miss him. You understand yes? Well, here we are... God bless you all on this beautiful Thursday. I have to get my dear hubby off to his Camino Weekend. Looking at traveling down to my dad's over the immediate weekend, and getting ready for the Women's Camino Weekend at the same time. Ugg!

I've been missing in action lately. My dad is in his last time of his life, and I've been trying my hardest to get down to see him every chance I get. It breaks my heart to see him slipping away. But, I also know that "all things work together for good". So I believe it is God's timing in his life, and I'm just going to have to "let go" and let God have his way with my daddy.

It's not like I haven't been making things, I have, but, I don't have pictures to post. I am going to get my daughter to take pics of the last sets of things that I've been working on and get those up here for you to see. If you read this blog, it would be greatly helpful if you'd shoot me an email so that I know you have seen my work. Let me know what you think of it. I'm wondering if I should get these things up on my etsy so that I can begin to make some money on them?

Keep watching for me, my time has not yet come where these Amigukids and Krinklekids are concerned. I'm waiting on the Lord to lead me to the next step.

Here it is another Thursday already in the new year! I have this to post today---

Well, today I hope to get to a few more projects. Yesterday, I made a trip wallet for my daughter's 25th birthday. I of course, forgot to take my camera to get a picture of it. What I did was take my new little portable tiny sewing machine that I got for umhmm, Christmas, and wanted to see how it would work. Well, I wasn't too impressed with it, but, it was handy. It makes carrying my normal machine around a little less cumbersome. Has anyone else had any kind of thoughts about those little mending type of machines?

So sad to see what is going on in Haiti! I hope they can get things back together before more quakes come along!

Can't keep up

Well, what was that message? I didn't understand it. I don't know if I can write what I had here before.

I have made a few things, and I'll try to post them in the next day or so. To ward off the cold of winter, I made a cowl for around my neck. I've crocheted an Amigukid bear, and made a giraffe Krinklekid. Will get those pics up tomorrow.

What the heck?

It's so late! Who stays up this late, I want to know! Well, it's now 1/2 a month since I've last posted and now it's so late, who wants to be up posting! It's crazy nuts around my place most days and you sometimes can't see up from down! You know what I mean? My latest feat at sewing: A Poo Potty Training Chart! Ha! You didn't know there was such a thing did you? Well, after my grandson visited the pediatric gastroenterologist (did I spell that right?) we found out that you need to put them on the potty for 5 minutes when they get up in the morning, after breakfast, after lunch, after dinner, and before bedtime! Whew! That's alot of sitting time! But, so to make it fun, here is what I piddled around with and came up with:

This potty chart works with any kind of stickers. I made several pages to insert with the grid on it so they can change the grid every week. We'll let you know if it works or not! Let me know what you think okay?

This is the last thing I made in 2009---just two days ago....

He looks much better with the curtain open and looking out at the snow, but, my camera isn't the greatest and so, we had to capture him with the curtain closed! He's just my little winter bird....

Now, here's what needs to be put away today! I let everyone have their way and keep it up until New Year's, but, this is what it looks like after the new kitty has his way with it!

Welcome to 2010! Here, we're going to put away the Christmas Tree and all the Christmas decorations......Now, bring on the spring! The countdown is on: Maybe 9 weeks?????

Look what we've been up to over at my house! We put up the Nativity scenes and the Christmas Tree! Been a busy time over there!

Yeah, I mean that literally! We are in the process of moving things around in my home to fit in all the people we're going to be having over for Thanksgiving next week! LOL! It's been crazy busy here. And even in spite of the moving, I've still been working on projects! I have finished the car-seat cover for my newest grandson. Didn't want him to get cold while being toted around in this wintery weather!

And I'm in the process of making him two lovey blankies. Oh and finishing his owl, which will be like the one posted previously. Shouldn't these gifts be for Christmas? Well, no, guess not! They are just things we've been trying to get to for a while!

It isn't so much that I am not getting things done, but, getting the pics up on the blog are the hard part! The last set of pics were taken by my other daughter's new camera and I'm not sure if I can get them off it! Oh the joys of electronics and techy things!

These are my little guys I'm into right now. I have some more, but, will post soon. I call them the "KrinkleKids" They are made from cotton materials, polyester non allergenic fiberfil and recycled plastic bags (hence the crinkling sound). I have made owls, lambs, bears, mice, lions, giraffes, cats, dogs, mostly any kind of animal you can think of. We haven't posted them yet to our Etsy store, but, we're working on it! The internet is still all so new to me! The little crochet bear on the Dashboard of our car is one of my Amigukids. I've been making them for a while and have so many more to do. Just purchased some little boxes to house them in today:).

I made it to the Big List of Sewing Blogs! Yahoo! I am clear down at the bottom of the list, but, hey, I made it! I'm so proud of myself! I never thought I'd ever get out there with my sewing! I think I'm just beginning! Look out world! Here I come! I am so excited!

These are some things I made earlier this year, but never posted. The mouse went to my grandson, Bryton, and the owl, was a design that I wanted to make for my daughter's nursery, but, she didn't care for the fabric. So, we have him hanging in the sewing room. The monkey---he's here somewhere! Probably in the toybox!

Very Busy Week

We've had a very busy week at church this week with VBS! You know what I'm talking about! Kids, Kids everywhere! But, such fun!

The Lord's Day!

Are these not just the most precious little ones? Here is our new grandbaby Everett! So cute!

This is the Lord's Day and we are now home from Worship! Just a great time of singing and praising God! We're gearing up for a week of Vacation Bible School--begins tomorrow night and runs through Friday. I'm in charge of registration and medical release forms. Yippee!!

It's a fairly easy system however, since, it's all done on the computer! My dedicated hubby built the database we use and is all ready to go for this year!

Guessing I should get busy on the Nursing Wrap today, maybe have it done by tomorrow when I'm sure we'll be over at Grace's part of the day.... then off to church in the evening.

Just be yourself

Tim, Pam, and Bryton came over tonight and brought (yum) pizza & ice cream! Wow--fattening! Anyway, we sat and watched a movie---"Coraline" It was a strangely disturbing weird movie. I wasn't impressed with it. It made me feel sad, cause here I am a sewer and I would make a doll like that, but, it was too weird. The sewer was evil, and I didn't like the way it turned out.

I don't imagine any one who sews cute toys and dolls would find this movie too fun. But, it was good that "real" came back and they all lived happily ever after.

The last sewing project I made was a crocheted dish rag and potholder and dishtowel for Pam when she went to her Camino weekend. I also made myself a crocheted dish rag.

I recently made an over the head nursing wrap for Grace, but, she thought it wasn't enough to cover everything, so, I have to research and make another type. I have the material and stuff to work on it, but, I left it in Melanie's car and she's over at Grace's tonight, helping with the baby. I came home, and we watched the movie with Pam & Tim instead.

The new little baby is here. He's a week old and just as cute as can be! I won't post his picture here, but, suffice it to say he's adorable!

I'm also getting ready to make a bassinet covering, did you see anything on the web that costs about 850.00! Yikes! That's the kind they want me to make! I'm hoping I can pull it off! We'll see. Now, if I do end up doing that project, I will post pictures!

We had an awesome time at our familly reunion! My dad turned

95 years old! And he is doing pretty good. We also celebrated 2 of the family turning 40 (the baby of the family turned 40!) and one of my sisters turning 50! So, we are a scattered range of ages in my family! You have to be with 11 kids! Here's a photo:

June 17th! Summer is here!

Yep, Summer is here. It's so hot outside, I'm just sitting inside trying to stay cool! Hey, it's been a crazy busy month since I last posted! I've done a little sewing: Well, noooo I've done a lot of sewing! I sewed baby bumper pads, crib skirt, 2 crib sheets, baby quilt, curtains, and changing pad cover, oh and a boppy cover---(all for my daughter, Grace's new nursery!). Here are some pics of that room:

It is unbelievable how fast time flies by! I cannot believe I don't get on this computer as much as I used to! I have been so busy. We are in the process of finishing up the new nursery for my daughter's second little boy due in August! He is one special little guy! Has his own room, while his big brother still has his own nursery room! This little guy is getting orange/brown/bluish-green/and cream as his main color pattern. There is a tree in the room on the wall now, with orange leaves, painted by my artist daughter: Melanie! It's adorable and the bedding was made by my daughter who is expecting (Grace) & myself! As soon as I get a chance I will take some pics of it and post them up here! Can't wait!

The weather is fearsome today! We're in the middle of some strong storms. It's as black as night out there though it is only 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon! Can't hardly fathom that!

Can't imagine how fast this past month flew by! We made it through Easter with all the demands of schedules, and dinners, etc. But, thanking the Lord for his Risen Son!

I have been busy pretty much every afternoon that I have been off work, helping my daughter make her new baby bedding, for the new little guy who is due in August. We've made bumper pads, skirt for the crib, sheets for the bed, a blanket/quilt, changing pad cover out of minky fabric, and curtains for the window and a shade. So, need I say more on how much time is involved in that little project? Cheesh!

My other daughter is over there tonight painting a mural on the wall: a tree. Our inspiration? an owl! So cute... I'll be sure to post some pics when we're finished. Though I wish we'd have taken some while in the process. Would have been fun to see the progress.

I always seem to forget to get the camera out when I'm working!

Over the course of the past month, I've made two visits to my 94 year old dad. He's out walking everyday, as usual and even chopped some wood a couple of weeks ago! Imagine being able to chop wood at 94! I'm amazed.

St. Patrick's Day

Well, it is St. Patrick's Day, but, the fun is not in it. My brother-in-law, on my husband's side of the family passed last night and we'll sorely miss him. He was a kind hearted guy and a great uncle to my kids growing up. We haven't seen him since he was diagnosed with lung cancer, so I guess it is a good thing, we can remember him as his former healthy self.

My daughter and I are trying to work out our thing together, and so, we have started another blog and it is www.owlishlycute.blogspot.com. Give us a visit and see what you think. We want to make unique one of a kind items that are great for babies and new moms. Hope in time you'll find something that you'd like to have made. Our etsy shop is there, but, we don't have any items listed yet. I am big too into Amigurumi and will hope to upload some photos of the characters I make. I just finished a puppy yesterday and will get his picture taken soon so that you can see him and maybe he will go into our shop.

Well, it's Friday and the week is over again? Wow! Okay, I have been working on making things, but, I haven't posted the pictures. Since I've been on here, I've made a cool looking diaper bag and a couple of burp cloths and changing pad to go with it. I've made an over the shoulder bag for my daughter in law and I'm working right now on two shopping cart covers for a friend. The other thing I'm getting done this week is I'm making a puppy amigukid, he'll be added to my collection. We'll be posting several items up on the Owlishly Cute Etsy Shop soon. Okay, I've gotten a new camera for Christmas, and you would think I'd be taking pics of my work, but, I haven't done that yet! I made 2 laptop bags before Christmas and forgot to take pics and I also made myself a purse and haven't any pics--wait--maybe I can get one really quick here!

Oh and I made 2 panda bear stuffies (crochet of course) amigurumi, my favorite!, and I didn't get any pics of those either!

So, because I had my camera with me today, I can post pics of my purse, which I made one Thursday in December...

These are a set. The gray horse & blanket were the beginning, but, she liked the Palomino Pony too and so got all three! It was cool. Everyone loved them.

Okay, so, I haven't been true to my word and haven't posted everyday like I said I would. I guess it's harder to be in tune with doing this internet stuff than I thought. I will say I have not been idle. Of course, I've been crocheting.....

I've been gathering my crew to send to our Women's Ministry Fundraiser. I have sent several little amigukids and some cell phone cases. I hope I wasn't charging too much because they didn't sell for them. It is too bad, because I think they are too cute!

I have to keep reminding myself that today is Tuesday! It is not Monday! It feels like a Monday to me. I'm quite excited, I've begun my next set of bags---1 is a diaper bag with a couple of goodies inside, 1 is a market bag (purse). It is going to be posted shortly. This is a tabby cat charm.

It's been a little while. I'm getting ready to post some pics of the most current things I've been working on... here they are! The little pink cat is going shopping. The blue dog is Grady and then there is the yellow bear (he's my grandbaby Hudson's get well bear--Hudson is getting ready to have tubes put in his ears :( ) Then the Black Bear loves Coke Zero don't you know? The little guy in the window is the newest and I've labeled him the Bryton Get Well Doggie--cause Bryton burned his little fingers upon touching his other grandma & grandpa's lawn mower muffler! Oh dear! He's okay though. It's been a few days and he acts like he didn't do anything! These little guys bounce back so quickly! Well, we're getting ready to leave on Vacation! Can't wait! Do so need one!

Wow, the summer is flying by quickly! It has been crazy and out of control! Just kidding. I returned from my major weekend duties including the presenting of all 16 slide show presentations for all 16 speakers at this past weekend's experience, and I am exhausted! But, had a delightful time nevertheless. Now, I'm looking forward to VACATION! Yes, again vacation! Going off towards the north this time to get away from some of the heat and humidity! I'm so looking forward to cooler evenings and mornings! I'm venturing into a new arena this fall, going to join a Taeqwando (not sure if I spelled that correctly!) class for over 50. Yes, I'm that old! Anyway, will be taking that every Tuesday and Thursday! Isn't that exciting? Well it is to me! I haven't made much of anything since about 4 weeks ago, so you see I have nothing new to post here as far as projects go that is.

Well, off to work I go!

Okay, I shouldn't have an excuse for not posting, but, I kind of do. I'm working on a myriad of stuff, like building or managing powerpoint presentations for 16 people for a weekend of presentations that's happening in about 2 weeks! Then, I've been crocheting a ton of tiny amigurumi (I'll try to get a pic up here), and I've been sewing: I've recently finished a shopping cart cover out of fuax suede (really turned out cool), and a fall purse. That I'm trading for a haircut with my stylist. Yahoo!

Well, these are just some of the things I've been working on. Too many pics to post!

Birthdays and such

I didn't take a photo of Bryton's 2nd Birthday amigurumi I crocheted! I can't believe I didn't take a picture, but, I made one of the Japanese Cats that I found the pattern online to and it turned out pretty cool! He's tan and white.

Here's Hudson's 1st Birthday amigurumi monkey I crocheted for his birthday: Isn't he a cutie? I called him Sander. I was trying to think of a name for him, but, couldn't come up with something special, then I remembered sitting in the doctor's waiting room, while Hudson went in for his first year check up and on the TV was the movie: Sandlot! So, I thought: Sander, okay....That's where the name came from in case you were wondering.

Then, I thought I would post what I made while in Texas on V! He's just a silly old bear, called Boris. He was just hanging around doing nothing much when I snapped this pic...

My middle daughter turned 25 yesterday! Wow! I can't get over how time has flown by through the years! Where did it go? It seems like just yesterday that I was 25 and having my first baby! Well, that is the way it goes isn't it? I'm making her a beach bag and blanket to lay out in the sun on. Hope she likes it! I'll post some pics soon.

Hey it's been over a month! Where have I been? I guess just here and there and everywhere. Most recently Texas on V!

Don't we look like a bunch of Kooks! 2 of my sisters and my daughter! We had an awesome time. Everyone loved the Galveston Beach where we hung out for a couple of days before returning to my sis's house in Groves.

I've been busy working on a myriad of amigurumi. Here is a photo of some of the recent guys:

Barney is my very own creation! I love him, he's just hanging around playing with his pet mousey: Mikey. They just kind of took over the counter, I think they wanted coffee or something.
Now, really? Hide and Seek at midnight? What's up with that? Those crazy critters! What will they think of next?

Wow, April's on the doorstep! It has been a whirlwind of a month in March and is about to be over!....Tomorrow--well you know what that is! Hope you all have a good one! My days prior to this weekend just past, were filled with sewing! But, of course the excuse is I didn't take any pictures :( I made a shopping cart cover, a blanket, two bibs, and two burp cloths, and oh a cute little crocheted horse for a baby shower! I cannot believe I let those things get out the door without taking a picture! I'm so bad....

Today--I just knitted a tube to be used as a hand muff by a dear friend, who is suffering from a disease that is an immune type of disease, and her hands became blocked by the circulation that is normally going to the hands---and so she almost lost one finger, but, finally the doctors were able to get that blood to flow down in there again. But, her hands are so cold! So, I promised her I would get her a muff made. It's almost done. I thought I would put a few pretties on it before I called it a day. I promise not to let this one get away without a pic!

In the mean time---here's a little eye candy for you all...I haven't figured out how to link yet to let you know where I found the patterns or ideas for these....

hemmed 2 pairs of pants (1 for daughter, 1 for grandson)

a sash or scarf for Easter for another daughter (from a silky shower curtain!)

a crocheted horsey for baby shower

Well, at least they said to change the time. Anyway, with this terrible head cold bug, whatever, it's been hard to keep up with time! And here we are heading into the 2nd week of March. Made 2 different amigurumi bunnies today. They are all done, but, the faces. I'll get them posted tomorrow. The girls and I are watching "Hairspray". It's funny. I'd have to stretch my imagination on some of the things to try to remember if that was "really the way it was" back then. But, a cute spoof. I doubt the heavy girl got the guy back then though. You know what I mean? Well happy dreams to you all!

Not much going on around here, just trying to get over this crazy winter bug that hit. So can't talk much, but, just lazin' around. Here's my latest Amigurumi (I don't know does it look more like a bear than a cat?) Well, he's a cutie no matter. I just love crocheting these little guys. It's so fast and easy! I'm excited to get on to more things like this.

Today it didn't snow like it was supposed to! Yippee! I'm so glad. I am very tired of all the snow! :( Looking forward to spring actually!

Last night I knitted a cellphone cozy for my cell phone. It turned out pretty cool. It's pink with a yellow stripe around the middle. When I get pics taken I'll post.

Well, this is all new to me. I am giving it a go and I don't know where I will go with it, but, am about to find out all about blogging.

I would like to invite people who craft and sew to visit me and give me some pointers on how I can get my stuff out there for others to see and well who knows?

Today is my daughter's 23rd birthday, that makes me...oh you guessed it a bit old, so I'm in a new place in my life. I'm ready to try something new and looking for ways to fill my time with more sewing and making things.
