SEPTEMBER, Here today--gone tomorrow!

Looking forward to the Fall Craft Fair at church this year!  We have an awesome line up of products to sell!  From Dolls to photos! You guessed it! We're looking for support to get Melanie to Russia on her mission trip this year! This will be her 4th year to go see the kids at the orphanage! I'm hoping our girl Nastya will still be there.  She was old enough that she might be out of the orphanage, but, we'll see.  Looking forward to what they will be able to do this year! So come out and see what kind of crafts we have to sale this year and for a good cause!

Saturday in the summertime

This photo was shot earlier this spring when we had some cool weather!

Such hot summer weather we're having in the Midwest this summer! And dry as can be!  Went to the dear grandson's t-ball game this morning and bout couldn't stand the heat! Ugh!  Not like last night, we went to see the kids and their dad do a number in the talent show and they were so cute!  Should have taken pics but, not one to just take pics nor electronically bring them online!

But, all aside, the time to relax is now.  Just sitting back with a cup of ice water and my laptop, passing a slow summer day by.

Enjoy this heat!

Long Absence

It's been a long absence.  I didn't realize this much time had gone by and a host of things done in my life. I'm not a very good journalist, that is for sure.  When I was young, I used to think.... "I'll fill up half a dozen journals!"  Alas, that has not come true.  Kind of sad when you think about it.  I don't know why it is, but, I let life come and go and nothing gets recorded.

Many things have happened since last September.  We've celebrated several birthdays, some holidays, and just life in general.  Seen my daughter take her annual trip to Russia to visit the orphanage there, and a new trip that will draw her even more through the years to Haiti to do work and visit an orphanage there.  She loves the little children God puts in her life.  I see many more trips and many more visits in her future.

This spring, I've done some sewing for babies:  a newborn young man.... made a giraffe hat, with some snuggle blankets to match and burp cloths.  For a newborn young lady....  a onesie with a beaded necklace embroidered on it, along with a tutu to match, plus a rag doll.  Hoping she is loving those things.

Some of the items you can look at my OwlishlyCute blog on Facebook.  Well enough of that.  I'm about to embark on some new adventures and will probably let my blog slide once again, but, if you happen to stop by, please comment so I know you have seen my blog.

THANKS!
